Clone Wars

Isn’t it always cool to think back of your school days and remember how you were told the blue whale is the largest animal in the world? Turns out, the largest living organism is a grove of genetically identical aspen trees in Michigan which are considered a single organism due to the fact that they are all clones.

Human activity has driven wild life and specifically herbivores from other parts of the forest to this grove so much so that mule deer and others are wreaking havoc by eating these trees at a much faster rate than they can regenerate.
