Kanika & I recently came across an article which talked about how the elderly in Japan hire pseudo family members when the originals die or move out and bang! The idea for this toon was born.

While the idea may sound bizarre, the entire sequence of events is therapeutic to those who hire a wife or a child to help them hope with the loss.

Any kids who want to conveniently adopt this idea to get rid of pesky relatives, remember what happened a quarter of a century ago!
