The healing donation

Prahlad returned with a sense of purpose massaging his bleeding wrists, the deed lifting up his spirits.

He reflected back on the past that had led to this moment. All the tiffs and standoffs on the football field with Tony and the enmity that followed.

The years spent working for the same sports company and trying to outwit each other. The final standoff at Prahlad’s wedding with Roma when Tony had coolly walked in and convinced Roma to walk away from the altar.

The wasteful months that followed when Prahlad had fallen prey to depression brooding on the unfairness of life when your bitter enemy walks away with your girl and that coveted promotion.

Prahlad had wanted to ignore the “Wanted B+ blood” ad when Tony’s face had been plastered in all the major newspapers but had walked in and offered his wrists full of pounding blood.

And Tony lived again.

  1. Saving a life is paramount and it comes before any personal misgivings. Glad to see Prahlad rose above hate to save Tony. Well done, Lavanya. #WordSante

    1. Thanks Dahlia. It’s indeed. Shakespear said it before – The quality of mercy is not strained. It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven. Upon the place beneath. It is twice blessed: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
